Where is the band based?

What is Hip??? is based in Bristol.

How far will you travel to a gig?

Our normal distance we will travel to events is about 30 miles from Bristol. If your event is further a field please give us a call as we can still accept the booking but there may be a travel surcharge and accommodation may have to be provided for all members of the band.

How many people are in the band?

The bands regular line up is 6 members but this can be expanded with a horn section if required, which will increase the booking fee. The line-up consists of 2 female vocalists, Keyboards, Guitar, Bass and Drums.

What does it cost to book the band?

This depends on how far we have to travel and what time you want us to arrive to set up. We are happy to give you a written quotation if you contact us with the details of your event.

How long do you play for?

We usually play 2 x 50 minute sets. But we are Flexible!!

Do you have your own PA system and lights?

Yes we only use professional sound and lighting equipment supported by a superb engineer. Further info can be found at www.kingsr.com & www.a1ents.co.uk

What happens between sets.

We run a laptop with a huge selection of music. We can pretty much provide anything you want. If we are given notice we are happy to build a playlist of your favorite tracks at no additional cost.

What time do you arrive to set up.

We arrive around 5.30pm (6.00 weekdays) and it takes around one and half hours to set the equipment up. It is possible to arrive earlier but this may increase the booking cost. We can be flexible so feel free to ask.
